Elementary Math
Elementary Math lessons help students build strong foundations in number sense, computation, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning. We use the Singapore Math method, which emphasizes visual models, clear step-by-step thinking, mental math, and deep conceptual understanding. Lessons may include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry, and word problems.
Pre-Algebra
Pre-Algebra is the important bridge between Elementary Math and Algebra 1. In this course, learners review and extend essential arithmetic skills while beginning to think more abstractly about numbers, patterns, and relationships. Topics may include integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, expressions, equations, exponents, graphing, and word problems. The goal is to make Algebra 1 feel less intimidating and more familiar.
Algebra 1
In Algebra 1, students begin working with the core tools of higher-level mathematics: variables, equations, inequalities, functions, and graphs. Lessons focus on building reliable algebra habits, understanding why procedures work, and applying algebra to real-world situations. Students practice simplifying expressions, solving equations, graphing linear relationships, and interpreting functions.
Geometry
Geometry helps students understand measurement, shapes, spatial relationships, and logical reasoning. Topics may include angles, lines, triangles, polygons, circles, area, volume, similarity, congruence, coordinate geometry, and introductory proofs. Students will learn how to use formulas accurately, explain their reasoning clearly, and connect visual diagrams with mathematical ideas and problem-solving strategies.
Algebra 2
In Algebra 2, students will learn to recognize different types of functions, choose appropriate problem-solving strategies, and work through multi-step problems with accuracy and independence. Topics may include quadratics, polynomials, rational expressions, radicals, exponential and logarithmic functions, sequences, probability, systems of equations, and introductory trigonometry.
Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages Intensive
8-week intensive course for students in grades 4-7.
Strengthen skills that often cause trouble in upper-elementary and middle-school math. Students will practice in-depth work with fractions, decimals, and percentages through visual models, step-by-step strategies, computation practice, conversions, comparisons, and word problems. The course builds accuracy, confidence, and number flexibility.
Small-Group Math Lessons
For students in grades 3–10.
2-5 students maximum.
The small-group classes allow learners to receive personalized support while also benefiting from discussion, shared problem-solving, and learning alongside their peers.

Our math instruction is designed to help students strengthen foundational skills and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
All classes are aligned with the California Common Core Content Standards and can support students who are working at grade level, catching up, preparing for a more advanced course, or looking for an additional challenge.
Small-group classes are organized around students with similar levels, needs, and goals. Lessons include clear instruction, guided practice, problem-solving strategies, review activities, and individualized feedback within a supportive group setting.
All necessary materials are provided, including practice problems, worksheets, notes, review activities, and supplemental resources.
Class duration is 1 hour.
Courses are offered as a 16-class semester.
